Franke Fragranite Sinks

For years the sink manufacturers were looking for a better material and now they've found it. Franke Granite sinks really are made from granite, which has been ground into small pieces. The granite is mixed with a resin and moulded into the shape of

a sink. As the resin cools, it contracts slightly leaving only granite on the surface.

Being made from granite it is very difficult to scratch (granite is one of the hardest materials known to man). It can also withstand a temperature up to 230 degrees centigrade. Franke Granite will not stain and so is the ideal coloured sink that will last many years. The surface of the sink has a textured finish due to the small pieces of granite on the surface

Unique to Franke, are their beautiful Fragranite sinks containing 80% granite particles, and delivering the performance characteristics similar to stainless steel, whilst being available in a wide range of great contemporary colours that create stunning effects in modern kitchens. Franke’s fragranite is incredibly hard-wearing, chip-and stain-resistant.
